I am proud to be the head teacher of Kidbrooke, a school which has a long history of providing a broad, exciting education. Kidbrooke was opened in 1954 as the first purpose built comprehensive school in the country. It is widely known for its forward looking views and provision. It continues to offer a high quality of teaching support, care and concern for students from both Greenwich and neighbouring boroughs. We have a team of teachers who are committed to providing the best education there is. We are creating a school where students can be confident about themselves and their achievements, where they are able to think and participate in the learning and where they can gain examination results

Kidbrooke in the top 100 schools
Kidbrooke has been praised by the government for being one of the top 100 schools nationwide for sustained improvement. This recognises the huge success we have had in raising our 5A*-C GCSE results by 21%. The same report shows that we are also in the top 20 schools across London. Along with our excellent OFSTED report this shows Kidbrooke is a good school and getting even better.
Massive congratulations are due to all our fabulous staff and students!
Investors in People

Congratulations to all at Kidbrooke School on achieving the prestigious Investors in People standard in January. This confirms that we value and develop everyone who works here in order to get the best possible outcomes for Kidbrooke students.
Here are some key quotes from the assessor’s verbal and written feedback:
“You have built an organisation of great strength and great worth. You have the platform for building an exemplar of how schools should operate.”
“The school culture actively encourages risk taking, experimentation and creativity in the learning environment.”
“At every level, new and creative ideas are sought to bring out the best from the students. The Specialist Art College status enjoyed by the school permeates all aspects of the school curriculum and creates a culture where everyone is genuinely committed.”
“The culture of equality and the principle of ‘valuing every student’ has produced a high level of harmony in a very culturally and educationally diverse community.”
“Current employees express the fact that culture of harmony and respect is part of the school’s DNA.”
“Equality in all its aspects is core to the values of the school.”
Thank you again to all those of you contributed towards making the assessment such a success, and well done!
